Artistic gymnastics is an excellent sport for the acrobat at heart. Competitive gymnastics reflects the athlete’s strength, flexibility, artistry and agility.
The women's artistic program has various levels and stages of development in a competitive format. The girls compete individually and overall on vault, bars, beam and floor. An hourly per week commitment is assigned appropriately to the developmental level and level of competition the athletes are involved in.
SGE offers a range of competitive programs from Pre-Competitive (5 years) to Provincial stream of competition.

Trampoline is a very dynamic and exciting discipline of gymnastics. Athletes complete 10 skills in sequence, consisting of sharp, intricate kick outs requiring genuine form and style.
Trampoline is a sport that is competed at many different levels. There are four interclub levels, three provincial, and four or five national. Scarborough athletes work through a very developed injury prevention program and a specific strengthening and flexibility program.
Athletes are predominantly on the trampoline at all times and work on things from trampoline safety to advanced multi-twisting and inverted skills. SGE trampolinists train together in harmony (all levels/ages/sex) and develop through their personal programs and goals.

Tumbling is an excellent sport for gymnasts that excel on powerful events like vault and floor exercise. The Power Tumbling strip itself is powered by fiberglass poles equally spaced down a 120 foot strip. Of this strip, 85 feet is 'bouncy' and 35 feet is used as a runway to start off their pass.
Athletes whip through 8 skills in a matter of seconds, working up to (and including) their dismount onto the landing area. Scarborough athletes work through a very developed injury prevention and conditioning program and use both the tumbling strip and the trampoline. SGE tumblers train together in harmony (all levels/ ages/sex) and develop through their personal programs and goals.
